Alicia Smith
Meet the Illustrator
Alicia Smith is a multidisciplinary illustrator whose work dances between whimsy and realism, blending traditional and digital techniques with a signature warmth. A graduate of Arlington High School and Visual Arts Student, Alicia’s education spans two- and three-dimensional design, animation, drawing, and color theory—each informing the depth and texture of her storytelling.
She is adept with traditional art media as well as digital illustration and animation. Alicia’s creative voice is inspired by nature, fantasy, autumnal palettes, and gentle, “cute” aesthetics—making her an ideal visual partner for Willow’s Watch, where woodland magic and emotional nuance intertwine.
Her work has been featured in multiple exhibitions, including the Dutchess Student Art Show (Fall 2022 and Spring 2023), The Community art magazine, the iPark 84 Arlington Student Artwork Exhibit, the Lagrange Middle School Student Art Fair, and the Compass Wellness Community Art Show. She was awarded a Gold Key in the 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and received the Artist Scholarship from Arlington High School.
In Willow’s Watch, Alicia’s illustrations echo the heart of the story—inviting readers into a world where curiosity, comfort, and quiet transformation unfold through color, character, and line. Her ability to balance playful charm with emotional depth brings Gia Rose’s journey to life in a way that feels both timeless and tender.
She is the perfect partner for Kaidy in this magical woodland collaboration!
